Default hypothyroid (thyroiditis down fertility)

I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. One of the
symptoms has been menstrual problems - only 2 periods in the past year. My
doctor has treated me with Synthroid for 3 months and my TSH is down to 3.1
but my periods have not returned. My husband and I would like to start
trying to conceive next year - obviously this isn't possible if I'm not
ovulating. Does anyone have experience with what the TSH level should be to
try and restore fertility? I thought it was 1-2, but I can't find any
reliable information on the web. My doctor seems unwilling to change my
dose. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

Default hypothyroid (autoimmune)

I also have Hashimoto's, but not to the extent that you have, I've
always been pretty regular...mine has apparently jump started my
autoimmune system, which has given me fits ttc. :*(
