I finally saw the surgeon yesterday for my gall bladder removal. He agreed
with my gastro doc, and I hesitantly said I was ready. So the gall bladder
will be gone!! I was not able to set up the surgery because by the time he
saw me (I waited 2-1/2 hours) the front desk staff left for the day, so that
was kind of disappointing.

However, I got a call from the surgery center this morning. She said that
the surgeon called them to get me in ASAP, because I've been going through
this pain for way too long. She asked me if tuesday would be good. I said,
"This Tuesday??!!" She said yes. And, if I could do it, I need to come in
immediately for pre surg testing. I said yes, and I went and had my tests.
Surgery will be 7:00am this coming tuesday.

Not a whole lot of time to obsess about this one. <g>

You sound just like me. I saw my surgeon at 2PM, rushed to the
hospital across the street for the pre-admission stuff and was operated
on the next day. Better to just do it and not think of it. By the way
it was a piece of cake and I never took the Vicodin they gave me. Lots
of luck.

Finally Di. This is good news - and I agree no time to think about it at
