Default Interferon (tylenol)

I found that by doing my interferon injections in the evening and also
taking some Tylenol or ibuprophen before bed (about 3 hours after the
injection) would allow me to sleep thru most of the side effects. I'd wake
up feeling like I had a bad hangover or like I was coming down with a cold,
but this usually passed after taking a shower and eating breakfast. The
side effects are worse when just beginning interferon and they usually
subside as time goes on.

Different interferon types have different lag times between injection time
and onset of side effects, so time the beginning of your side effects and
adjust your Tylenol or ibuprophen taking accordingly. Side effects can vary
from none whatsoever to numerous, including tiredness, feeling thickheaded,
bone & muscle aches, mild fever or feeling like you are coming down with a
cold. Naps are helpful for the fatigue.

hope this helps

I neglected to add that the more water you drink, the less side effects
you'll have. Interferon makes most people very thirsty so stay well hydrated
and the extra water intake will help minimize any side effects.
