Is this more RA stuff? (down pancreatitis)
Thanks, guys!
I did some stretching, and a lot of resting this afternoon and that's
helped. I think I figured out the culprit w/my shoulders - the way I'm
'compacted' when I sit on the sofa. When I rest my head on the arm of the
sofa, my shoulders get hunched up. So I'm trying to find a pillow
configuration that doesn't do that. Haven't figured out the muscle fatigue
stuff. Or is that what people mean by a flu-like feeling; muscles that get
really weak?
I just heard from my Mom - would you believe she has West Nile Virus! She
has been walking around with it for at least a month. And it could have
caused the pancreatitis. The plan is to rehabilitate her debilitated
condition (rest, good nutrition). Until that is done, there will be no
surgery for the ovarian problem. They even put her in a private room so she
could get more rest (she is so thrilled to be away from the room mate who
was throwing up constantly and who had all her family, including toddler
grandchildren and two men who stood by the bathroom door, in the room all
day).
The surgeon put her foot down and said she wouldn't operate until Mom was in
better health, and that two weeks won't make any difference if the masses
are cancerous. In the meantime, two of the blood/screening tests for ovarian
cancer have come back negative (the third isn't back, yet).
My Mom has been in New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada, in addition to her
native Colorado, all in the last 6 weeks. So there is no way of knowing just
where she contracted it. She has no memory of any bug bites in that time.
Amazing!
Thanks for all the prayers! They have got to be working for us to be getting
answers (even if they are unusual ones), and for mom to now be getting such
good care.
Thanks!
