Default Lack of Sleep (diabetes heart)

So I'm the kind of person who'd rather not do something illegal.. but i'm still
into trying altered states of consciousness. I know I'm not the first one to
recognize this, but getting just about 2 hours of sleep is enough to get that
nice calm feeling while you're awake the next day.. a naturally drunken
feeling.. laughing at various intervals during the days.. becoming emotional
over things you might not have if you got a normal amount of sleep.

So my question is.. Is this safe to do? It seemed like a decent alternative to
drugs but I've read sleep deprivation heightens the risk of heart attack and
diabetes. Does anyone have good information on this, opinions, or similar
thoughts? Thanks.

Default Lack of Sleep (eye)

If you mean calm enough to fall asleep while working at your computer,
during office meetings, or even while behind the wheel of your car, sure,
but I would say it is more like a sort of shattered, knackered sort of calmness.

Well, more like being hung over rather than drunk.

Laughing, no. Emotional, maybe. Irritable, yes.

Well, I tried it for a few years and decided it was a bummer, so now I'm on
cpap and can safely say you can't beat a good nights shut-eye.
