A little late in replying, but I hope that you stick it out. The
nervousnous that you mention is VERY typical when starting any SSRI.
Perhaps your doctor should have advised you to break your pills in half for
the first week or two.

I took Celexa (30mg/day) before switching to Lexapro (10mg/day). I had
pretty significant side-effects with Celexa, including inability to orgasm.
I've had very few side effects with Lexapro, except for very vivid dreams -
although this has gotten better over time.

One thing, though, is that I do think that Celexa 30mg/day was slightly more
effective than Lexapro 10mg/day. But I'll gladly sacrifice a bit of
efficacy in favor of fewer side effects.

I should note that I am taking Wellbutrin SR (100mg/day) and Ritalin
(20mg/day) as well. Lexapro by itself helped my anxiety and OCD, but I
still had mood swings. Since adding Wellbutrin (and maybe Ritalin), my mood
swings have pretty much disappeared.
