losing weight with papillary thyroid cancer!

Hello,
I had entire thyroid removed last year , did the radioactive iodine,
tryed weight watchers, atkins,...... y.m.c.a on 200mcg of synthroid.
Have put on 80 pounds in last year, m geting ready for 6 weeks of low
iodine diet , for a recheck, Has anyone had the cancer and lost
weight?
I have a very possitive attitude!
