CFIDS and he is an internist. I've only been tested for
EBV and that was around 1988 when i had a severe
case of systemic Candida going on. It was negative.

I've never been tested for whatever viral illness i had
that left me with CFIDS. I just thought it was a really
bad flu unlike any I've had before.

Hi Cheryl:

They are part of the immue systme responses to a specific set of
activation. Those are specific to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis but that
list is INCOMPLETE - there are a few more in that battery of tests -
but i don't have the articl handy!
Besides: CFS-L wonld allow me to post it due to number of lines and
the rule against breaking a post into parts! that is a no no on this
list !

Years ago there was an online CFIDS questionnaire
with questions about a few test. I had had some of them
done and along with those results and answers to quest-
ions i scored in the low 90's. I already new from my
library research & symptoms what i had.

Have your local physician refer you to an immunologist and have
the immunologist run them. Ask the immunologist to screen for
viral infection and other caused of extreme fatigue!

Ummm, I never heard of an immunologist. Do they have those in Canada?
I read where the CDC and NIH have created special immunological departments,
and that this "field" needs to be created for Doctors.

My allergist is a Allergist/Immunologist and is pretty
useless unless it has to do with allergies. I've often
wondered why she has "Immunologist" attached to her title.

I'd love to get some testing done. I would have gone to the
U.S. eons ago if I were well enough to travel. If there's
someone in TO, Ken, please let us know.
