Default New Medicine (anxiety)

Well I went to the doc today. I am upping my Zoloft to 200 mlg. like I was
before. He is starting me out slow on Topomx. He says my bipolar is now
out of the beginning stage and is entirely bipolar now. NeatO huh! and he
perscribed Vistaril <sp> for when needed to take the edge off my anxiety and
agitation. I'm glad we didn't go for the Benzo. the fear of becoming
addictive would have drove me nuts.

Default New Medicine (schizophrenia)

Hi I used to take many meds, couldn't work, controlled by the hospital and
the therapoists and doctors.....because of my bi-polar condition and even
received med for schizophrenia. I no longer take anything and I have been
working for 5 years now. It is truly a miracle, although it is difficu;t
for me be able to not hit my husband when he yells at me. I try so hard
with breathing techniques, counting, asking please stop but after I ask
him about 5 times to please stop yelling at me....I grab his hand and
twist it or I hit his arm or pinch him. That is totally unacceptable
behavior and I know that.

well its good that you know that your behavior is unacceptable but
knowing it and doing nothing about it really means nothing. maybe you
can learn other ways to take your anger out like punching a pillow and
thinking its your husband. just as its not right for a man to hit a
woman its not right for a woman to hit a man. i hope you get the help
you need
