That sounds like a wonderful house! I don't know where you are, but I
hope this winter is nothing like last winter and that they are comfy
out there. Good job!

Otoh, there was so much snow last winter (Priscilla & I are both in the NE,
but a few hundred miles apart) from Christmas Day onward, that the snow
acted as good insulation. At leasst In some places the ground was only
frozen for the top few inches, despite the low temps.

OTOH, she might have to shovel a path to the comfy feral house, in order for
them to use it. ;-)

I'm in the DC area and our winter was the worst I've seen in a long
time. What I was worried about with all the snow on the ground was the
kitties getting lost (ground level, tunnel vision, inability to see
very far), or following tire tracks or shovelled paths right into the
road. In my backyard I saw pawprints only an inch or so deep
right through the thick of it despite 2+ feet on the ground so I know
I underestimated them. We don't know how to deal with that white stuff
down here.

I read Priscilla's post to DH,and he collected all 6 or so of the various cats'
blankies and washed them.
