OT: For T****
Thanks. I talked to Terri this afternoon, and she set my mind at ease on a
number of issues. It's so frustrating not to be there, but talking with
Terri helped a lot.
My mom is still in danger, but Terri says that the reason she's mostly
unconscious is that she's on a ventilator, and it's necessary to keep
ventilated patients sedated because otherwise they'd be in too much
discomfort/pain. So that's much less worrying.
My mom still has a severe infection to fight, but Terri says it sounds like
they're covering all the bases. Now if I can just get my dad to start
asking the right questions, that will ease my mind even more.
I'm going to talk tonight to the young lady, Tracy, who's going with my dad
to see the doctor tomorrow, and help her plan her strategy. I'll ask her
to call me right after, so that I'll get a better report of what's going
on. My dad doesn't remember half the stuff they tell him, and he mixes up
the rest.
Thanks to everyone for your support, it really means a lot to me right now.
As always!

The cure for this ill is not to sit still,
Or to frowst with a book by the fire,
But to take a large hoe and a shovel also,
And to dig till you gently perspire.
