I know what you mean....the other post about toes was a joke, but my
dad had this problem alot. The cutest one was calling those little
green lizards that run around the yard alligators. He forgot names
for alot of stuff. So, when I can't remember what to call something I
get reeeeeel nervous, especially if I do it two times in a row.

That's a good question. I don't know.

Well, that could be. You know some days it doesn't pay to "be informed" does it.

Are you taking generic metformin? How's your appetite? I'm gonna
switch if others on generic say it cuts appetite.

I was Googling around last night when I got scared about my verbal problems, and
mild cognitive impairment sounded awfully apropos.

I am 57 in a few weeks. But you know my dad started showing signs
when he was 65 and he was gone at 69. So until I am 70, I won't feel
comfortable. And hell the diabetes may give me a stroke or heart
attack and take me out before I reach 70... <frown> Dana

I'm on generic metformin, but I couldn't tell you whether my change in
appetite is because of metformin, low carbing, or just reducing the IR
because of lowering the blood glucose, or if they're all interrelated.

Happens to me and Hubster frequently too. It does get frustrating!

Several years ago, Hubster asked me if I wanted some ice cream. Yep. What
flavor? [Blank] Uhhh ... the brown stuff! (chocolate cherry) So "brown
stuff" has become our private joke for slips of memory.

Last week at the vet's I was telling him about how her oncologist had
switched Dylan to Deramaxx from... um... that green pill... umm ...
fiorinal? No, ummm... it's a NSAID, begins with F... The vet guessed
correctly, Feldene.

And today in class, I had a brain fart, lost a word mid-sentence. I
managed to retrieve it after several seconds' gap. And now I can't
remember what the word was.
