Parethesia, Celiac, Drug reaction, or nut case ? (depression panic anxiety allergy neuropathy)
During a recent stressful period, I developed a flare up of colitis
symptoms, though on the mild side. One movement a day, no blood, no
real abdominal pain, but soft stools with some mucous.
Doctor prescribed Pentasa. Took the Pentasa five days, and developed
the following symtoms. All at once, in one night, and Ive had them
every day since.
Tingles in arms and legs, burning, pain in left shoulder area, carpal
tunnel when elbows are leaned on, numbness on side of leg, burning
feet etc.
Stopped the Pentasa, switched to Asacol, which I have tolerated in the
past. Didnt stop the neuropathy. If i take more tablets however it
seems worse, less, a little better.
When the sensations started, along with my colitis type problems,
trying to run my business, I begain anxiety panic attacks, and
depression. ( I cannot tolerate ssri's)
So what do you think. Can this much paresthesia, this diverse, come
from colitis? Celiac? a developed allergy to 5asa? Or is it all a
result of anxiety and panic or a combo.
Very desperate, did some tests, but now agoraphobic and panic ridden
without meds for it.
Again, the diversity of the symptoms all starting from one miserable
night on for months now. Does this happen with Celiac or what?
Thanks
