Pdoc:Your Beyond Help!! (anxiety down disability)
I was hospitalizes for a week through the ER on 8-13, and was assigned a
pdoc. He filled out the initial short term disability paperwork. He is
also benzophobic, and has me on so much Neurontin it could take down a
horse 4800 mgs. Along with Nortriptyline 40 mgs.
He has had me on the same meds since I was admitted into hospital. And
I have been complaining about the effectiveness of my meds since I was
admitted into the hospital. My first visit with him outside the
hospital did not go as good as I would have liked it. I told him I
still feel depressed, anxious, and was still having PA. I told him for
the millionth time the meds where making me feel dizzy, uncoordinated
and foggy to the point I can even drive a car. I asked him when does he
think I can go back to work, and he said it was up to me. I left the
short term disability paperwork with him, the same that he filled out
when I was in the hospital.
Here is where it gets good. My second meeting he tells me the only way
I am going to get better is if I go back to work. I told him fine, yet
he needs to change my meds because I am still feeling depressed, anxious
and still having anxiety attacks, also with the dizziness, fogginess and
lack of coordination.
I work on an assembly line and I could get injured or injure someone
else. He said he would not change the meds because it would not help
me. He said that I have tried a lot of different meds without success
and because of that I am beyond help!! I asked him if he was familiar
with Thyroid Augmentation Therapy and he said yes, but does not do it.
He also mentioned I am free to see another pdoc!!! Geez, I am glad he
gave me permission. He then set up an appt to see me again in 3 weeks
so he could collect more insurance money.
It is ashamed you can not report pdocs like him.
