Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation down)

has anyone had any issues with this after their vasectomy? I've always
been a little quick on the draw to begin with, but after my procedure
(3 weeks ago) I have been super quick.

Would like to know if anyone experienced it and if it subsides over
time. And could it be psychological? I am still having very minor
dull ache down there, but only sometimes, not too often.
thanks.

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation anxiety down)

I didn't experience any change after my vasectomy in how soon I
ejaculated. But one thought I have is that extreme excitement or
anxiety can both contribute to ***ming too fast. I suspect the novelty
of your current situation--whether it's knowing you can no longer get
her pregant, worrying about whether the vas. has affected things, or
concern re: the possibility of some pain due to your post vas soreness
(not unusual after only 3 weeks)--is the cause of the changes you have
noticed. And that things will settle down over time. Another
thought--if your previous bc was rubbers, and you have recently stopped
using them (NOT recommended, by the way, before the doctor gfves you
the all clear)--then that itself could explain ***ming faster. After
all, it's a whole different ball game when you start going bareback.
If that is your situation, that too, will change over time. In either
case, my advice is: PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE! (Speaking of
practise, you can dismiss any organic cause by seeing how long you can
hold back when jerking off: if something fundamental has changed, then
I suspect you would see a change there, too.)

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation birth control)

thanks for the reply trifold - fyi I was "riding bareback" (LOL) before
the vas... just pulling out. I know thats not perfect birth control
but well we have exactly the two kids we planned on so it worked well
for us. And yes I am still pulling out, I am not loony :-)
Its nice to hear a little pain is normal 3 weeks out... can I ask, how
long should I wait before I complain to the doctor about it? The other
little side effect I have is when I ejaculate I get some soreness in
the testicles. Is that normal as well?

Hi Dave,

I bet you're going to really enjoy your vasectomy, since you won't have
to pull out. I tried this a few times when I first started ****ing. I
hated it. (And I wasn't very good at it either!) BTW, I bet pulling
out early may contribute to the fast trigger effect, since you have
always had to worry about ***ming. After you get the all clear, you
can relax more. This might help you last longer. And the focus will
be less on ***ming than on feeling it all. oooo. i'm getting horny
just thinking about it! lol

I'd give it another week or so. All bets are off, though, if the pain
gets worse or there is renewed swelling or redness. Then I'd go see him earlier.

Do you mean at the moment you ejac. or the day after? For about a year
after the vas, I would get mild soreness sometimes after really good
***. I'd feel it the next day--kindof like a *** hangover. It was
always on the the right side--the side that took him longer during the
op. It was never very serious, never stopped me doing what I wanted.
And it faded over that first year. Maybe you're experiencing something
different, though? In any case, I'd go see him again if you are not
back to normal in the next few weeks. People do recover at different
rates, but you might as well ask him, to put your mind at rest.

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation)

Just wanted to follow up so that people don't think the pre-ejac
condition remained for me. I am back to normal in that respect.

However, still having soreness after 8 weeks. It is not related to
ejac as far as I can tell. But it is worse some days then others. The
doc gave me Pred to try to reduce inflammation in the vas (although
there is no outward sign of swelling etc.). That was 11 days ago and
no change in my condition. Going back to the doc tomorrow. We'll see
what a new day brings.

I'm glad your staying power is back. The continued soreness is a bit
worrisome. Keep us posted re: what the doctor says. I forget, did you
have the closed ended version?

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation)

Just got back. My doc was out for the week so I saw someone else. He
seemed to be acutely aware of what my problem was, because he grabbed
my balls and squeezed a certain spot... YOWSA!!!! Yep, thats the spot!
He said he had the same issue during his vas (inflammation at cut
site), and that it took 3 months for the pain to go away. And that it
is very common for people to have such an issue for that amount of
time. He recommended Motrin x3 daily (pain or not) and ice in the
evenings, and an athletic supporter during the day. Basically the same
treatment I was supposed to do for 3 days post-procedure.
Now I'm not the athletic type (unless you count armchair QB) so I don't
have a cup, but I think I'll do the other recommendations. Besides I
sit in a chair all day at work, my balls aren't rolling around much.

To answer your last question, I'm not exactly sure. I originally
scheduled a closed-end (cauterized) vas, however I ended up with a
different doc doing the procedure. There was no cauterizing. Here is
what I know. There was only one cut in the middle, and he used some
type of tool to snip (very loud snip, like it cut a section out all at
once) both sides. Then after each snip, he sutered (god, its bugging
me I can't spell that word right now) on each side. So I assume I had
a closed-end with suters, but as I couldn't see, I'm not sure. Plus
I'm not sure if he actually pulled my vas's out through that central
cut, or if all the work was under the skin. So maybe he was sutering
some surrounding tissue.

I'll report back in another month.

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation job)

Thanks for the update. One comment: The doctor was not telling you to
wear a cup, but a supporter. And I'd listen to him. A suporter does a
better job of holding your jewels than any pair of underwear, and they
do get jostled even sitting in a chair, going up stairs, etc. So
whether or not your athletic, buy one (or more for back up) and wear
it. They come in different styles--some with the traditional straps
and pouch in front, some that look more like underwear ("under armour"
is a brand I've seen).

BTW, it does sound as if you had the closed ended version. Open ended
is still rare enough you have to ask for it specially.

Take care and keep us posted!

Default premature ejaculation after vasectomy? (vasectomy ejaculation motrin)

Can I ask a question? Are the doctor's recommendations (ice, motrin,
athletic supporter) supposed to:
a.) relieve pain, or
b.) help to heal faster?
The reason I ask is because I really don't mind the small amount of
discomfort, so if its just to relieve pain, I would skip it all. But
if its also to help healing, then I'll wear that icepack every night,
and supporter every day!

A second question - what method do you recommend for applying ice? I
tried a ziploc bag and the cold was too painful. Then I tried wrapping
the iced ziploc in a washcloth, and I couldn't even feel the cold. I
need a nice medium.

Thanks!
