Default Prescription for computer glasses

I have a -2.75 prescription, with slight astimatism.

I need computer glasses with reduced prescription.

When determining the prescription for computer
glasses, does the optometrist apply the same
cylinder and axis, or would those also be changed
along with the sphere?

Are you looking for single vision computer glasses, or PAL (progressive)
computer lenses (like Zeiss Gradal RD or Sola Access)?

Default Prescription for computer glasses (presbyopia)

The cyl and axis are kept the same.

Before age 40, "computer glasses" don't have dramatic benefits.

How much to reduce the sphere depends on your working distance and how much
presbyopia you might have.

For older presbyopes, the best solution could be "work glasses" with the
distance portion reduced by a half-diopter.
