Default Somnoplasty 40+ days ago: Update III (nasal)

Hi:
Short update to the somnoplasty on my turbinates, now 40+ days ago.

At ~25 days they switched me from Flonase to Nasaral

I am actually a little better. Not great, but heck, I'll take small wins!
My turbinates still swell a lot, first one side than the other but not
quite as bad. They swell more in the back than front.

My ENT is ordered a follow-up CAT scan when I was swollen. He compared it
to the first one. He can see that the turbinates a little better but are
still very swollen. He can see clearly that when swollen, the turbinate on
the left side pushes into the spur on the deviated septum. He thinks when
the right side swells it touches the nasal wall

My ENT is suggesting I consider waiting a few more weeks, and then if I
want/need, having the Septum fixed and a resection of about 30% of the
Turbinates.

This has been our plan: start with the most conservative surgery
(Somnoplasty ) and see if it works or helps us understand what's going on.
Move on to something more agressive if necessary.

I appreciate all you comments and thoughts!!!

Thanks!
Andrew

Yes but, in general (not referring necessarily to your case), the success
rate of a totality of staged surgeries may not be less than taking a fairly
comprehensive approach in the first place.

This would apply particularly once one starts needing a general anesthetic,
which is a certain risk each time (multiplied by the number of times).
