Default St John's Wort (allergies virus arthritis)

I found St JOhn's Wort worked really well three years ago but to stop taking
it to take ZYBAN to give up smoking.(It worked. 3 years without a fag.) I
want to start taking it again but I have irritable Bowel syndrome for which
I take Spasmonal and also Gaviscon for reflux. Then STemetil for nausea. I
am now taking a natural Glucosamine Sulphate tablet to try to help with my
arthritis. Can anybody tell me if the St John's Wort will clash with the
drugs I take. I also take Dormanoct a night and still only get about 4 hours
reasonable sleep and then cat nap. Doctor won't put me back on anti deps.
CPN said Seroxat maybe but I said no because I saw all the side effect stuff
on it. I also have ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as well as multiple food
allergies.

Default St John's Wort (depression paroxetine withdrawal)

In uk.people.support.depression on Friday 19 Sep 2003 11:38 am, Selkie

Tim's post about this might be of interest to you
<3f6a3a2e$0$209$bed64819@news.gradwell.net>.

There is also what looks like a good web-site about this
<http://www.sjwinfo.org/>.

I used "Seroxat" (paroxetine) for quite some time, and had no serious
side-effects or withdrawal problems. I think it's only a tiny minority of
patients who have problems with this medication. I would use it again if
my doctor suggested it.

Default St John's Wort (depression)

In uk.people.support.depression on Saturday 20 Sep 2003 1:13 am, Selkie

He called it "St John's wort increases metabolism via the cytochrome
P450(cyp)" and it was dated just after 12 AM on Friday morning (Sept 19th).

If you click on the Message ID that I quoted
(<3f6a3a2e$0$209$bed64819@news.gradwell.net>) your news-reader should
display Tim's message, if it's still on your own computer, or should offer
to look for it in "Google Groups" otherwise.

Or ...

This is the address for the "Advanced Search" service in Google Groups:
<http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search> - click on that and your
browser should go straight there; then copy/paste the Message ID into the
box labelled ... er ... Message ID ) and then click on the 'search
button' - I just checked, and that does work.
