alt.support.mult-sclerosis,KissingPoodle@webtv.net (Susan & the Oh, you have *no* idea what that sentence made me think of. Thank you! I *so* know that! (and I'm not even taking any of the CARB drugs for a decent excuse!) I had to arrange getting a wheelchair ramp. It took me *days* to accomplish it and I needed lots of naps. We.. (poor taste coming up, as usual for me) ... you *could* send jpgs of how you use the "hand controls", as thanks. -- "Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love." -- "A General Theory Of Love" Thanks, Mom __________________________________________________ ____________ Glen Appleby glena@armory.com <HTTP://www.armory.com/~glena/> |

Before we get into the following frivolity, I have a serious
question: webtv has a reputation that is even worse than AOHell had. A sure sign of a webtv user is not quoting relevant text from the post to which they are replying. You, however, seem to have found a way around that. Care to share? On Sat, 2 Aug 2003 07:07:30 -0400 (EDT), in alt.support.mult-sclerosis,KissingPoodle@webtv.net (Susan & the WHIMMEN! It's always "Yes, but I don't know when." ... except when it is "No". I just sold my brand new Honda. It was too difficult to drive and it was too uncomfortable for me to jam myself inside of it for a trip of any length (I'm 6'-5"). I am going to be looking into getting a minivan or maybe even a peekup truck so that I can drive my SEWER in and out of it, plus have a bit more room so I can be comfortable when I drive. Hand controls will be a must. She's not always convinced that she's lucky, try as I might. .... DARN! Hand controls. Since you asked about the SEWER, yesterday morning, I woke up with this ... very proud member. I got on the SEWER and went into the bathroom to get dressed. The member did not immediately dissipate. It was there for the ride into the bathroom. As I rode in there, I looked down and thought "AH, a joystick." I actually tried using it to control speed and direction of the SEWER. Aw, come on! I just woke up and the brain was not fully engaged. -- "Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love." -- "A General Theory Of Love" Thanks, Mom __________________________________________________ ____________ Glen Appleby glena@armory.com <HTTP://www.armory.com/~glena/> |

alt.support.mult-sclerosis,"Lynne" <Lynne_Davis@baylor.edu> Sorry. Yes, I feared that it might be too much. Still, I just couldn't help myself. Not to control the SEWER, but if I were allowed to use it as intended, it woulda worked just fine. DAMN!! -- "Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love." -- "A General Theory Of Love" Thanks, Mom __________________________________________________ ____________ Glen Appleby glena@armory.com <HTTP://www.armory.com/~glena/> |

alt.support.mult-sclerosis,KissingPoodle@webtv.net (Susan & the [how does a webtver quote text?] When my wife first got her AOheLl, she didn't quote text. Replying to her replies to me could be very frustrating because (since we often continued to use the same subject line) I never knew to what she was referring. I found another AOheLler who did quote, so I asked them how they did it. They said that all they had to do was to hilight the text, then hit <REPLY>. Works like a charm. I'm glad that you discovered how to do it with webtv. Now I'll have even greater disregard for webtvers who just post a vreply without quoting. I *so* know this from personal experience. Not just in driving (because I had so much trouble driving, I *just* sold my 6 month old Honda, because it was so much trouble to move my legs), but also in other things like getting on and off my SEWER. Heck, even getting in bed (when I'm most tired) requires that I reach down, grab my legs and pull them into position. If yer interested, a few years ago, someone sent me a MPEG of a dancing "joystick". If I can find it, I'll send it to anybody who's interested. -- "Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love." -- "A General Theory Of Love" Thanks, Mom __________________________________________________ ____________ Glen Appleby glena@armory.com <HTTP://www.armory.com/~glena/> |
