The Biophile's Way (headache)

I think this guy is a russian style pseudo - intellectual. I am Russian myself and by all gods, its wise spread! My step father can discourse on any topic whatsoever, and with the authority that is unbelievable - until you realise that either he knows jack shit about the topic or he is being discriminatory on some way. Read Leo Tolstoy for the same - most of Anna Karenina and War and Peace are his waffle about how "surfs are people too, same as us, and should be treated the same"... nevermind that Tolstoy was a duke, and still had servants and surfs who worked/ cleaned/ cooked for him. Bloody hypocrites. It must be cultural... waffling with impenetrable authority about someting that you only vaguily know about. Prescribing "recovery programs" but only addressing one aspect of abusive relationships. And what the hell is "biophile" anyway? However, the poetry is very impressive and so are the translations - russian is not an easy language to translate, especially the poetry. AND the names  Velvet |
