Default Update (pepcid aorta heart job pericarditis)

All the tests are back and the echo cardigram does show a calcified aorta
and heart pump isn't doing its job. I guess 19 years of pericarditis has
taken its toll. The esophagus is also not working properly despite all
the Nexium, pepcid, maloxx, and tums. Have had test after test and now that
they know exactly what it is there is really not much to do. Very
discouraging. When I looked out of the window there were 4 beautiful
jackrabbits chasing each other so will look forward to a lot of small
bunnies. Also saw a quail family with the Mom in the lead and 10 little
ones following with the Pop keeping guard in the rear. We have a late
crop of deer babies this year also lots of sets of twins.

I have spent a lot of time in the window seat looking outside and enjoying
the beauty of this area. Since I usually work most of the time this is
a new experience for me and am enjoying it to the fullest. Also enjoying
television in the middle of the day. Think I will retire and become a
couch potato. Awaiting the visit from Pigmet. He will love the aerial
view of this place. Does he like his yams raw, baked or fried in butter?

So sorry to hear the news Ruth.
have you talked to a surgeon specializing in to know your options and the
risks?
Kick back and watch the scenery and fauna, Pigmet will be there in no time
flat,
Just a short detour to Ontario :-)

Ruth,
Sorry that the news wasn't better. I was so hoping that the Doc was jumping
to conclusions without the tests to back him up. What are your options?
Keep us posted.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,
Sherry

Ruth,

Pigmet likes his yams baked, either in the oven or the microwave. And he
likes lots of butter on them. He doesn't care for the marshmallow
treatment. I will get him to your house as soon as I can. If these people
in Canada don't want to see him, or if all they want to do is *stick an
apple in his mouth and roast him* then maybe I will have him turn around and
visit you sooner than later! Pigmet goes where he is appreciated!

Your view out the window seat sounds lovely. When I worked in Sebastopol, I
had an office that looked right out onto the laguna area. I would see foxes
and racoons and rabbits. You don't live that far from me, but it is a bit
more than a stone's throw. When I am feeling better maybe Pigmet and I can
come up in person. Would you like that? I could pack up my duffel and
bring all the characters--Vel and Aster and Zeety bird, and Tuffy and
Scruffy, and Simon the Iguana...

Default Update (lasix potassium lupus)

Hi J, Already talked to the surgeon who feels that lupus has weakened
most of the tissue surrounding the areas she would work on so she would not
want to do anything. On the bright side I think I will take potassium.
I am on 40 mg of lasix and maybe need more than bananas. That might help.
We live in a rural area that has overworked doctors. The nearest city has
5000 population. Mendocino county is large in area and very small in people.
Just reread my first letter and am sorry I dumped on you all. When I got
up this morning I did make brownies for the Inn {Paul helped me stir] and
then started to rethink the diagnoses. There is still lots of stuff to
do that I enjoy. Saw a T.V. show called Judging Amy which was great. We
have the county fair in two weeks and we will get to see all the sheep dog
trials which are very exciting. Now as to Pigmet after he leaves Bev
he can take time to visit us and we will take him to the fair. He can
see huge Mama Pigs with all the piglets continually blowing air into their
Mom which makes her even larger. Love to all ruth

Ah Ruthie,

I found you back. I am sorry about all you are going through, and
certainly hope you are resting when you need to. don't over exert
yourself, and PAUL, you take care of my friend OK?

sounds like you are upbeat even after hearing nothing but "not good" news
but with rest things will get a little better for you.

Hubby just asked about you the other day and says we are still going to get
your way, come hell or high water. So be prepared there haha.

You relax, enjoy Judging Amy. I love that show, and tape every episode if
I can't get to see it. Another good one for you? Jag, since you like
good looking men, that might be in your alley haha.

Please take care, need anything ???? let me know ok? I will send prayers
your way, tell Paul hello, and make him do that cooking, will ya??? tee
hee. Does that mean a lot of microwave meals LOL

hugs

Hi Ruth,
I am sorry to hear that the news was not good. I am having trouble with my
pc so am not having an easy time getting on to read posts. I will be
thinking about you, even if I don't reply for a while.

the family has adopted him. I will give up my chance to take him fishing If
you promise to fly him directly to Ruth.
Bruce On. " hmmm , never ate a yam , sounds great with melted butter Ruth.
Maybe Mair would be so kind as to let me hop on Pigmet's plane.
Ruth I do hope you get a smile out of this ditty)) "

Oh Bruce... don't give up so easily LOL! He can make it to Ruth's after
you!
I think fishing will be the ideal holiday for you both! and your meal
sounded so good!!
we call yams sweet potatoes way over here on the west coast... do you
have them?
Anyhow... Mair you really should reconsider that visit to Bruce's... I
really think Met would love it and Bruce sounds as if he has a real plan
going on!
FWIW..... with hugs, Shelagh
