U.S. Soldier's Death Is Tied To Vaccines

A 22-year-old female soldier who died last spring after getting
multiple vaccines, including the one against smallpox, succumbed to an
immune system disease apparently triggered by the immunizations.

That is the conclusion of a panel of experts reviewing the military's
experience with smallpox vaccine, which has been given to about
515,000 troops in the past year. A second panel believes that
vaccination "possibly" caused the young woman's death.

The woman received smallpox, typhoid, anthrax, hepatitis B and
measles-mumps-rubella vaccine on March 2. On April 4, she died of lung
complications caused by an acute attack of the autoimmune disease
lupus.

She had never shown symptoms, but analysis of two blood samples stored
in the military's 30-million-sample repository showed that she had
abnormalities associated with lupus as far back as 1998.

The vaccinations apparently triggered a first "flare" of lupus, which
an Army official, Col. John D. Grabenstein, said has been observed a
few times in civilians. Neither panel cited a specific vaccine as the
cause.

A panel of scientists from the government's Advisory Committee on
Immunization Practices and Armed Forces Epidemiology Board said the
evidence "strongly favors" the theory that vaccination led to the
death. A committee convened by the Health Resources and Services
Administration split on the issue, with three members saying it was
"possible" and two that it was "probable."

William Winkenwerder Jr., assistant secretary of defense for health
affairs, said there are no plans to change the vaccination program.

A study published last summer reported 18 nonfatal cases of
myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, among troops getting
smallpox vaccine.

So, what's your point in posting this, Ilena? Even if this young lady's
death was caused by her vaccinations, which is far from proven, it proves
little, if anything. No one has ever promised any vaccination to be
risk-free. If there is anything remarkable here, it is that the military has
administered millions of vaccinations, and the subsequent mortality is low
enough that a single death is worthy of media attention.

Ilena probably leaves that in so that she can claim plausible
deniability if anyone questions her about what the words mean. Her
lawyers would refer her to a case in California where a madwoman kept
repeating the turgid lies of some PR person and a court ruled that
defamation is not defamation if you are not the original author of the
defamation.

I read on the Internet that one of the contributing factors to this
weird decision was that the aforementioned madwoman and her pet
wallaby performed some "services" for the judge. A business associate
of the madwoman is rumoured to have the videos for sale.

Sadly, this soldier died. Even assuming that it was vaccine related, it was
the result of an immune system reaction which could not have been reasonably
foreseen, as she had lupus, which was undiagnosed.

I think it is tragic that the anti-vac liars will use her unfortunate death
to promote thier ill conceived, and evil, agenda.

History shows that vaccination has eradicated the deadliest infectious
disease in the history of the world. As a child, I knew a few older people
who were disfigured by smallpox scars. Now, this is so rare that I have not
even seen one for years. There is no wild smallpox anywhere now. Vaccination
is the reason. Get over it, John.

Interesting. So since it is established that smallpox was once rampant and
now is only seen in laboratories, I guess it is safe to assume that all of the
other smallpox critters, noticed that they were no longer wanted and committed
suicide?

Yes, one does wonder why the army physical did not pick up the
"abnormalities associated with lupus" in 1998 when the specimens were
processed. I wonder if this death will lead to changes in the labwork done on incoming recruits.


I always wonder what anti-vac people have to gain by preventing vaccination.
Why do they do it? Is it just ill will toward science and conventional
medicine in general? Or is it genuine hatred of children of the world and a
desire for more people to die of infectious disease?

So one soldier died "possibly" as a result of vaccinations, and 514,999
soldiers were protected against a very nasty disease. Pretty good odds I
would have thought! A lot more soldiers die from the euphemistic
"friendly fire" and road accidents.
