Default who will find your body?

I've thought about it a lot ever since I saw the movie The Vanishing a
few years ago. Even before that I was probably more preoccupied with
death than the average person. Granted, the statistical probability of
my actually getting buried alive is very small. (Well, at least I hope
it is.) But so is the probability of winning a lottery and yet
millions of people play it (and someone always wins).

I'm also more worried about, say, suffering a paralysis alone in my
apartment and slowly dying of thirst, unable to move or cry for help.
(This could easily have happened to my grandpa, who had a stroke in
his home. But fortunately one of my aunts was visiting him right
then.) Of course there are many other ways of dying in a horrible
agonizing manner. Being buried in an avalanche, under the rubble of a
collapsing building in an earthquake, or locked up in a train car or
truck trailer come to mind.

....well, if you're worried, buy a rottweiller or a presa canario dog
that'll dispose of your body when you die.

If they'll discover your body after, let's say, some years, you could finish
on the newspaper.
Think about your moment of celebrity.

Once I read of a german man found after several month in his armchair, he
had on his side the remote control and the TV programs magazine by which
they told the day of the death.
The TV was still running.

Without joking: what do you worry about ?

In America, it's about nil, since ppl are either cremated or injected with
formaldehyde.
So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If I would be on vacation, it would go unnoticed for a
couple of days.

But actually, I just wanted to tell another story I have
read in a newspaper some time ago:
There was an office worker who died during his
working time (heart-attack, I think), so he sat
comfortable in his office chair
for (IIRC) 5 (!) days, before someone noticed that
he is not just lazy, concentrated or whatever, but
dead. I don't know if they noticed it because he
smelled or someone really looked at him.
But 5 days, in an office, at work, huahahaha :-)))
Must have been a civil servant or worse ...
Anyway, I like that story ...
