Met with my PVP uro today (bladder abdominal ultrasound ultrasound flomax)
I met with Dr. Wei today. First of all, he seems to be bright, personable,
and a nice fellow.
I contributed a urine sample and he also did an abdominal ultrasound
(bladder). I am not retaining any urine. Also, my "score" was a "3" on the
symptoms scale which is very mild. However, this is because it asks about
the last 30 days and I've really had NO problems of late.
The flomax has worked great for me without side effects.
Anyway, he indicated that at this time, given how well the flomax is
working, we should do nothing. If my symptoms worsen (and he said eventually
they probably will) the next protocol these days would be to add another
drug in conjunction with the flomax. He says that should buy me an
additional year or two. Basically, he sees NO PROBLEM with my continuing
with the flomax. He says there should be no damage to the bladder;
everything is working fine.
I've accomplished my main goal too. If I run into trouble, I've been assured
I can see him immediately. So, at least I am now hooked up with a PVP uro.
Oh, incidentally, he did comment that when I do need PVP in perhaps 3 years
or so (maybe) there will be plenty of people doing them.
