I hope everyone is ok. This time of year it's easy to get depressed. I'm of
course the opposite, this is my hyper manic time of the year and I have to be
super careful or I will crash into depression in January.
How about a roll call? I'm doin ok. Just worried about my Mom's health. I
think she is alot sicker than we realize.

Christmas was real good this year but now I'm feeling down.
Everything went well except with my mother in law. She spent
way too much money on me, getting me a gift I don't want and
have no need for. So I will take it back and get something else.
But I know she will refuse to take back the difference. She
doesn't have money right now and shouldn't be spending so
much. And the cost of a gift does not impress me. Sure I like
big expensive things but only when the money is there along
with the need. Even my wife doesn't know how to go about
approaching her mother about this issue.

Again, I'm so sorry about your mom.

My pdoc retired. *sigh* That in itself is depressing.

I have enough meds for now....but <shrug>...there literally is NO ONE
else on the insurance plan, and it's waaaay expensive to go out of
network.

I'm very glad Christmas is over and done. We are at the moment
cleaning up the Christmas decorations and dusting furniture and
getting out our regular stuff. That ALWAYS makes me feel sooo much
better.

We are having a bit of trouble with youngest kiddo--as per usual. The
other two are on their own now.

My daughter will be 22 tomorrow!!

She was about 13 or 14 when I very first started posting to ASD!

I've known some of you forever!

Hi Cynthia! I wish you and your mother well. Sorry to hear she is
sicker than y'all thought.

I survived Christmas. I have two siblings who aren't talking to my dad
so they didn't come for Christmas. They want absolutely nothing to do
with him. So it was just me, my dad, and my other brother. I don't
feel safe with that combination so I bought some pepper spray and
slept in my clothes with my pepper spray in hand. If anything crazy
happened I had an exit strategy. Out the front window! Once I
attempted to leave from my dad's house and he wouldn't let me go. He
kept blocking my way. That in itself was scarey!!!!! I was really
scared when he and my brother were arguing which is why I wanted to
leave. You just don't get mad in my family and expect things to remain
normal. I told him I was afraid and wanted to go home. He said I was
irrational and psychotic. I called my therp and she talked him down so
I could leave. That was a few months ago.

I was sooo glad to be home after Christmas! It really isn't so bad
being alone during the holidays anymore. It used to depress me but not
anymore.
