Default IVF or tubal ligation (tubal ligation menopause measles ultrasound)

HI, my husband and I live in Australia Wollongong to be exact. As i have
my tubes tied and have consulted my Gyneacologist, im a bit excited
about the whole prospect of getting a bundle of joy, if it is to be....
Im just wondering what is cheaper in the long run, having a tubal
ligation reversal and going about it the old fashion way, or to get
IVF.
If we dicide to go the reversal that would give me until who knows when
to get pregnant being that im 37 years old now.
But the IIVF is not 100% effective either, being that it may not be
successful the first time round which leaves us wondering. How long
would that take and how much money $$$ it would cost. Yes we are in a
Private Health Fund.

Im going for a hormonal blood test for my immunity of german measles
and to see that im not in menopause... God i hope not....Let there be a
god.......
My husband has to rush in a sample of his donation within 1 hour of
...well you know....god i hope hes got good swimmers.

Also an ultrasound to see if things are hunky dorey inside my Uterus

If anyone out there has a similar story cause i want to find more facts
and im jumping out of my skin....just talking about it with someone
other than your partner, is good.

Thankyou
Lisa

Default IVF or tubal ligation (tubal ligation down)

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to our board! Is this your first child?
I am not sure the cost of getting the tubes reversed. Our IVF cycle
cost about $25,000.
with meds. We got the shared risk plan so it covers part of two cycles.
But with both of them it will close to $32,000. Our first one failed.
IVF is not 100% in fact depending on age and what is going on in the
body the odds go down. I would talk to an RE (reproductive
enedrocronologist) I don't think I spelled that correctly, I am
sleepy).
an re can help you decide which route will be better for you.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Christy
