Default Needing support (panic anxiety disability)

Hi Boydette,
sorry to hear you are suffering. Are you receiving therapy? Not sure what
country you are from so may not understand your public health system. Here
in Australia you can get treatment without insurance. Generic brand meds are
cheaper and if you are on any type of disability allowance you can get them
at reduced costs.
Not sure what non-medical treatments can help with the bipolar - but with
panic/anxiety I have found meditation, music, breathing exercises,
distractions such as working in the garden to help lower anxiety.

take care,
Vanessa

I don't know where you live but the first thing to do is see a Dr and
get samples of meds that you are supposed to be on. There a good Dr's
that will do this. You can get free prescriptions from the drug
companies if the medicine is necessary. Your Dr can give you
information on these programs. Don't let this go. Your meds can make
the difference between a horrible life and a normal one.....Get
Help....NOW

Default Needing support (panic)

Hi,

I have insurance, but it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, like
my panic disorder. I found a list of counseling offices that have a
sliding scale. I see both my therapist and my psychiatrist for free.
My pdoc gives me samples whenever possible, and the meds that I buy
total $40 a month, which isn't bad. Help is out there, just keep
looking.

Boydette,

You can often get free or deeply discounted medication from
http://www.needymeds.com; you will need a doctor who will work with you on
this. You should not have to suffer because you can't afford
medication, also you may need to change your meds to fit into the
program (not all manufacturers offer free med programs).
