Default Cialis and libido

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if Cialis can increase a low libido, because I can get an
erection if I am sufficiently turned on, trouble is I just can't get excited
about *** at the moment?
When I see an attractive woman it is like seeing a nice box of chocolates,
knowing they going to taste great, but just not feeling hungry.
Anyone else feel this way ?

Exactly the way I describe it!!

When I try some of my favourite fantasies I just can't get hooked into
them.

That lovely tingly, horny sensation just doesn't happen any more and
******, when I can get there, arrives suddenly with none of the exciting
build up.

Even with cialis I can get an erection but it doesn't 'lock out' is the
way I think of it.

None of these describes it perfectly, but I think I understand what u
are saying.

Give this a try: Take your 25mg of Viagra first thing in the morning. No
***. Then go to work. See if you get semi-erections during the day. See if
you get that ****-age horny feeling. I'm a firm believer that erections
create desire as much as desire creates erections.

Those of us that take Cialis in the morning have that "edgy" feeling during
the day.

It's worth a try.

Any other tests or ideas short of inventing a time machine

When I was 15, I used to have to walk about a mile to school, often in
subzero weather. Even so, if I happened to have an erotic thought during that
walk, and I often did, I'd pop a hardon and walk the whole way to or from
school with a throbbing erection under my coat. Now that's libido ‹ the
brain/penis connection was working like greased lightning.

40 years later, after a couple of years on SSRIs, my libido was shot, and ED
problems a recurring motif in my life. Like a lot of the folks here, I tried
Viagra ‹ and found that despite its annoying side efffects, I could pump away
just fine. But of course, Viagra has no effect on desire ‹ so in effect, I
had to "will" myself to want ***. This is a very curious "shadow" of libido ‹
a non-physical wish for ***, simply because you feel like you SHOULD be
wanting ***.

My quest continued ‹ and took me to Pennsylvania for a visit to Dr. Shippen.
Low testosterone (and amazingly low bioavailable T) was diagnosed. I went on
HCG therapy and found that some semblance of my old libido did return.
Nocturnal and morning erections began waking me up for the first time in
years. I began to have spontaneous *** at odd times of the day. I
experimented with other forms of T replacement, and found these effects even
more pronounced. (I am still undecided on which course to stick with ‹ the
****ie weenie testicles thing troubles me a bit.) But I can't say that libido
returned full strength, day in and day out.

Not long ago, I tried Cialis for the first time. Like Jerry, I think this
drug may actually have a positive impact on libido, despite the fact that is
manufacturers make no such claims. Its action is so natural, and its effects
last so long, that it more or less recreates the earlier physical state where
thoughts and erections are so closely linked. At the risk of embarrassing
myself, I will say that one day, about 18 hours after taking Cialis the
previous day, I was sitting at my desk looking at some random online ****o,
and the resulting erection was so demanding that I actually stroked myself
off for the first time in about 30 years.

I've also recently added Maca to my regimen ‹ and like some of the others
here, I find that it definitely increases horniness and hardness. So there
you have it. Plenty of testosterone plus occasional Cialis plus daily Maca
equals a stronger libido plus a faster link between brain and penis.

Am I the horndog I was at 15? Hardly. But for an old guy, I'm pretty happy
with my *** life and my level of ***ual interest right now.

By the way, a few other factors you may find helpful: cut way back on
alcohol, no more than a couple of beers or glasses of wine per day. Eat a
balanced diet that includes enough iron. (I also take a few supplements ‹ B
vitamins with folic acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamins C, D and E.) And get
some regular exercise, even just walking. Oh ‹ and at least twenty minutes of
bright sunshine on your skin. The effect of sunlight on brain chemistry is
absolutely amazing.

You describe my situation almost to a tee, baring the Testosterone.

I too have found that Cialis seems to re-establish the brain - ****
connection but only marginally for me.

One question - what is Maca ?

Maca is a Peruvian herb used by some of the posters in this group. OReon has
posted frequently on the topic. It is a root, which is ground into a powder
and taken either by mixing with foods or liquids, or via capsule. It is
readily available online and in most health food stores. From everything I
have read, it is completely non-toxic (it's actually a food that Peruvians in
higher elevations include in their diet).

Like others here, I find that it lowers my blood pressure, increases
nocturnal and morning erections, increases the quantity of my *****, and
contributes to an overall increase in libido. I take a couple of grams every
day (four or six capsules), sometimes twice a day. Between Maca, occasional
Cialis, and HCG (currently), I feel as if my natural ***uality has been
mostly restored.

Yep, I did. I was on T-cyp for 6 weeks. As i think I mentioned to you in a
previous post, I was somewhat troubled by the shrinking balls syndrome. I
decided to try HCG one more time before making a final decision on which to
stick with. I went back to Novarel (HCG) and have been on it now for about 3
weeks. So far, the results have been subjectively excellent ‹ though I have
not had blood work done. After another three weeks, I'll make a final
decision about which therapy to stick with.

I'm also wondering if it isn't possible to cycle the HCG with T-cyp, six
weeks on one, six on the other, and get the benefits of both, without the
tiny testicles. But I have not yet discussed this with the doc.
