Default Is it eczema

Hi guys
I have a bad recurrent skin problem my GP has diagnosed as eczema but
nothing fixes it. Symptoms:-
Very itchy patches on the tops of my knees extending in part up to my
outer thighs, also on outer of elbows & outer of ankles.
It started a few years ago (I'm now 59).
It was originally helped with cortisone creams.
It has now got so bad I feel like screaming or topping myself most days.
It starts off with little blister type things which get VERY itchy, I try
to ignore it & take antihistamines & its OK for a day or so, but I take to
it with abandon & end up with blood everywhere. I do try not to do it but
sometimes I an overwhelmed by the urge. After it stops bleeding I get a
massive surge of serous ooze, which seems to re-occur once scratched, no
other bleeding points (ie other cuts & scrapes)results in this serous
ooze, has this something to do with the fact that it itches SO much?
I have tried everything that I know of including bandages at night with
some type of soothing ointmwent ie Zinc, even bandaged it with cortisone
creams, but it is getting much worse over the last 6 months.
I'm slowly getting VERY depressed about this as it is diificult to manage
when working.
Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. I can only hope!
Pat

Hi Pat,

When I was faced with a similar* situation, I found that choosing
foods according to my blood type was a very successful treatment.

best wishes,

Steve

* Actually, my condition was much more serious, pemphigus vulgaris.

Hi Pat,

I would suggest that you seek out a dermatologist immediately. It sounds
like you could have infected areas if it oozes like that. A dermatologist
can provide you with more treatment options than a GP can. But the most
important difference is that a dermatologist can give you a more accurate
diagnosis than a GP when it comes to skin conditions.

Hey Pat,

Try www.skincell.org and join the Forum. Post an intro message like the
one you posted here and see if they can be of help to you. There are alot
of knowledgeable people there, but again it sounds like you need to seek
medical attention.

Hi Pat,

Foods vary by blood type (A,B,AB, or O).

The books are the "Eat Right' series by Peter D'Adamo. Give one of
them a read, and if it makes sense to you, find out your blood type
and start avoiding the foods that a person of that blood type should
avoid.

best wishes,

Steve
