Does anyone else here have multiple skin conditions like I do? I have P.,
Seb. Derm., Stasis Derm. and now I find out that I also have Dyshidsrotic
Eczema! Blah! My Derm. wants to get me off the steroids but the only
effective treatment for this latest development is a strong steroid. I’ve
actually had this condition for about a year, but it comes and goes and
until yesterday it had never been there when I went to the Dr. On a lighter
note, I haven’t any P. at the moment. Not that it really matters because I
have enough else that’s itching on me.

That’s interesting that you mention that about psoriasis and seb derm.
I have, for many years, thought that I have suffered from facial P as
well as the traditional plaque P.
Recently though I have been experimenting with the idea that I might
actually have facial seb derm. The experiment isn’t complete yet but
as soon as I have what I feel is proper evidence I’ll be sure to reply
Trust me, you are not alone in having multiple disorders. Some get
properly diagnosed, others (like me) suspect they might be and have to
find out for ourselves because the derm waiting lists are so long.

I’ve only got one besides psoriasis: granulomatous rosacea. And it only
surfaced last year.
The antibiotics that keep it in check have no apparent effect on my psoriasis.

I think I finally found a dermatologist who knows what he’s doing. But he
also seems to find a new problem every time I go in there. *L* The problem
I have is in remembering which problem is which and what product I use on
which problem. And when a new spot appears, I can’t always tell which one
of the problems it is, or if it’s a new one.

Well, so far I’ve been lucky and don’t have the Herpes. *keeping fingers

I am hoping I don’t get that! My Mom has it. Already, I have had symptoms
that make me think I might have it. But again, I’ve never had the symptoms
at the time I’ve been to the Dr. In fact, the skin on my face on either
side of my nose is getting redder by the minute and more swollen. Seems
like it’s always something!

Did you have chicken pox as a kid? If so, according to what my doctor has
said, you already have the Herpes Simplex 1 virus. It is just a matter of
time stress before you get a cold sore or canker sore. H***, I hope you never
get one. I hate ’em, hate ’em, hate ’em!!
If you do happen to get one, I have found that by taking two to three Lysine
tablets per day starting as soon as I feel the tickle, I can shorten the
length of time that it lasts and the severity.

It’s not your fingers you’ve got to keep crossed.
