Doughnuts. We can buy em here at MacDonalds but they ain’t the same. gawd I
wanna have some REAL american ones, not the ‘real’ american ones as
advertsied on the pack. Real, as I had in Alaska. Giant donuttas with icing
and chocklate and my gawd I am getting high.

What again? MacDonald’s doughnuts? GAG ME. That’s a shame. We have
Krispy Kreme doughnuts 🙂 Oh to drool for. Lots of doughnut shops
here; bakeries…you know, all the good heart attack food. My brother
and I used to make homemade doughnuts as kids…until he spilled hot
grease all over the kitchen and my mother nearly killed him 🙂 LOL!
I like chocolate cake doughnuts the best…with colorful little
sprinkles on them. Quit making me crave fat!! HAHAHAHA!

O** I’m craving fat now too. I’ve been desperately trying to trim down for my
bathing suit week, but no matter how healthy I’ve been eating, those last 4
pounds refuse to come off. CURSE menopause! At this moment I’m trying to
decide whether to just give in the the siren song of the unopened carton of
rocky road ice cream that’s been lurking in my freezer for over a month. I had
to really work hard last night to resist the urge to dig into it. I grabbed a
chocolate Power Bar and chugged over a pint of 1% milk. Then later before bed
I scarfed a peanut butter sandwich. I’m thinking now if I’d just succumbed to
the ice cream urge, I would have consumed less calories last night than I did
stuffing myself with all those substitutes.
Homemade doughnuts were really messy. I remember too! It was a rare treat in
our house to deep-fry doughnuts. My mom did it maybe once a year in the
summertime, when she was in an unusually festive mood. We kids got so excited,
but days later my poor mom would still be wiping grease off of unlikely
surfaces. If that’s what it did to our kitchen, just think what it does to the
insides of our bodies. :-p

here there are always the small bakeries, but people I know all love the
donuts from Tim Hortons. I don’t think this company is in the USA, are
The problem with really good donuts is that almost no one can eat only
I consider myself very lucky because I don’t like sweet food that much
(if not at all).
My only “flaw” when it comes to food is cheese. I would still run a mile
for cheese ! 😛 One day I even said: The day I will stop loving cheese
then, there wouldn’t be any, I mean ANY = 0, hope for my future
D*** you! now I’ll have to go to buy cheese and grapefruit for supper !
You all know it was my birthday, well I didn’t ask for a cake
I asked for cheese LOT OF CHEESE .. I even said to myself : F*** my
liver and intestine. Today is my birthday! And I’m gonna eat all the
cheese I want!!
People have written mournfully about the futility of our pitiful
existence, knowing that our civilization will inexorably die when our

I’m peri-menopause and it’s bad. Are you telling me it will get
worse? AHHHHHHHHHHH! Hey, that stuff I bought (by the way) is really helping.
OH MY GOD! You have “unopened” Rocky Road? I don’t think I could do
that…I mean, leave it unopened. I just don’t buy it or I’ll eat the
whole thing. I start out saying “well I’ll just eat a little”…and
then it becomes a little more and then some more!
You are probably right. And it would have been much more enjoyable
🙂 I can’t eat those power bars. We bought some for our last
Glacier trip and I nearly gagged. So I bought some Nutter Butters and
Oreos and Fig Newtons instead! That was a few years ago. Have they
gotten any better?
No kidding! Grease everywhere. Ahhhhh, but the smell of those fresh
doughnuts coming out of the oil, and then rolling them in sugar, or
sugar and cinnamon. Yummmmmmmmmm! Like those Tiny Tim doughnuts you
get at State Fairs and carnivals.

I’ve never heard of Tim Hortons…but I live in Minnesota. We’re so
far north…we miss out on a lot of good things 🙁
You are very lucky. I crave it often. I don’t buy it or I won’t be
able to control myself.
Another weakness of mine. Baby swiss is my favorite.
How about cheese cake? LOL!
Happy birthday again. You needed to start that birthday over any
way…so we’ll celebrate it with a frigging block of cheese!
