I was prescribed Rhinocort and Astelin but I only used Rhinocort, a
steroid based spray. Astelin doesn’t seem to do any good. Read the
article I found at
By the way I sent you email (using a different email address) saying
the following. Fel free to reply.
Here it was:
@ 1/2 years ago, I was diagnosed with what the the Allergist called
Non-Allegic Rhinitis. At the time. I searched on Internet and saw a
LOT of sub categories under Non-Allergic category. One was vasomotor.
At the time, it seemed that my symptoms and experience falls under
many different sub categories.
Just now I searched info on Vasomotor and got the follow para at
I experience the ones I underlines in that paragrahp.
Though the doctor said mine was Non-Allergic Rhinitis, but I have
always suspected his statement since I found myself very allergic to
Mold. Since Rhinocort, steroid based sary, helps me, after reading the
following in underline, I am now convinced that I am allergic to Mold
though it didn’t show up in skin test result.
He also prescribed me Astelin spray but I don’t use it unless I have
severe sinus drainage. Now I know that Astelin would not help my
conditin which he should have termed Vasomotor instead of being vage
in calling Non-Allergic.
I suffered from thorat infection from exposure to mold. The school
building were moldy and that was the main culprit. In outdoor, I am
fine, Inside, I am nto as fine. I try to keep the place very clean
but this is an old condo.
