Actually, yes. But let me clarify.
I have no trouble at all believing that *you* like *him*.
But he’s 16 years older than you, s******* around on his partner,
and has some academic authority over you. It looks to me as if
he’s abusing his position of trust so he can have s** with an
inexperienced young woman.
Sure, he’s going to say he likes you, but what he really means is
“I like it, honey! I like it!”
I worked at a university for several years, and I’ve got three
degrees, so I’ve also spent a fair bit of time being a student.
Sweetheart, this stuff goes on all the time. Might be that’s why
we all seem so sure you’re the one getting screwed.
These days universities are cracking down on profs having s**
with their students. If someone rats the two of you out, “we
actually like each other” isn’t going to get you off the hook.
