Win ME Crashes with Protection Error

I got my ME Machine running again after the second CRASH with Windows
Protection Error. Just does it after I try to shut down when Machine
Hangs. It comes back to Safe Mode but when Restarted get a WPS which
won't go away. I keep a CLONE and can copy my E-Mail and Other files
from XP. I am running a Dual Boot Dell L1000R. Once I get it running
stable I re-Clone
Any Ideas

protection errors are caused by hardware conflicts
make sure that you don't have any On Board sound or video enabled, if you don't need them.
in safe mode look at the device manager any problem there?

Very Hard to get into Safe Mode. I have a Dual Boot machine and only
time I get to Safe Mode is when it crashes.
It won't go to safe Mode even if I do the F8 at boot time. If it crashes
Again I'll be sure to check the System File for TRASH

Turned out to be a problem with Video Cards. The Dell has a built in one
but I am running a NVDIA GFORCE Card. I finally removed both adapters
and their Drivers from System and rebooted and Got Back after getting
another Windows Protection Error so didn't have to restore
