Default How can you programatically reference Microsoft.BizTalk.Pipeline.d

I need to automate builds via DEVENV that can happen on any machine which
could have BizTalk Server installed in different locations that the other
machines.

So far only the reference to the Microsoft.BizTalk.Pipeline.dll file is a
problem in that the references are being stored relative to the root of the
solution/project to where BizTalk Server is installed on the machine from
which the reference is created. This doesn't work when you try to run builds
from another machine which doesn't have BizTalk Server installed in the same
location relative to the solution/project files.

Does anyone have any ideas, other than copying the file to live somewhere in
our code tree so that it can always be found in that location for build
purposes?

Thanks!

Hi Robyn,

I recommend using a single machine for all the builds in that
environment. Of course, I am not aware of the details, but this looks
like a better idea. It would solve your problem. You should also have a
person in charge as Build Master and allow developers to worry about
the code and functionality. Then, it makes a lot of sense to automate
the build process on that single server and take care of the build
distribution, depending on your needs.

It is more an organizational piece of advice than a technical one. Let
me know if you are still looking for solutions to the original problem
definition, but it looks like an unnatural usage of the tools at your
disposal.

Thanks,

Marian
