My computer is on a home network connected to the Internet through DSL.
Therefore, my computer has a private IP address rather than a public IP
address. Because I use Windows XP Professional's IIS to test my web site, I
need to know what to type in the URL to access these pages from another
computer. If I had a public IP address, I would simply enter something in
the form http://x.x.x.x/, but I do not know the syntax for entering a
private IP address. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have a private ip address, you won't be able to access it from the
Internet.

That's something you are going to have to talk to your ISP about.

Getting certified in "Home Networking"? Looking for a hardware
solution? Running IIS?

You posted to a wide range of irrelevant groups, and missed the groups
that would have the answers. Try a Google search for your answer
first, it's posted a dozen times a day in various groups and covered
on thousands of websites. If you still can't find the answer, post to
the Windows networking or routing group.
