Default fixing puter

Hi everyone.....this site looks quite different since my
last visit.....my puter crashed 3/4 months ago...i have
returned to the good 'ole USA and now computer up and
running. However my version is '98 se......many of former
features not available with this version....IE:restore
point (at least i have not located it as yet).....a
paucity of music choices as well as wallpaper....many
minor things....some major.....once, one of your members,
suggested a site with*oldies* on it.....cannot recall the
site name... all tell me to *forget* my original edition
ME as it gave them more trouble than it was
worth....however i found it more than adequate for my
meager needs...i have searched microsoft....other sites
etc.....no luck....any help appreciated.....good to be back

closest thing to a restore point in win98 is registry backups. Windows98
will backup the registry each time and boots and save the last 5 by default.
to restore an old one, reboot in dos mode and type scanreg /restore
