Default URGENT: How to run Business Desk Client on Windows Server 2003

Hi Bratsche,

Commerce Server 2000 is not supported on Windows 2003, if you wish to use
Windows 2003 you must upgrade to Commerce Server 2002 SP2.

Hi all,

i have a strange problem:
We are using Commerce Server 2000 on Windows Server 2000. SQL Server is
running on a different machine (also Windows Server 2000).

Now we have different sites running on that system.

Now we have a Windows Server 2003 where we want to install all the Business
Desk Clients for all Sites.

But i can not install the client:
a.) I disabled Enhanced Security Configuration for IE
b.) I set the IP to the Trusted Sites Zone
c.) I enabled all Scripting and ActiveX stuff in the security settings

but i only get a screen with a red cross inside -> the clientsetup page is
not running.

How must i configure the server so that i am enabled to install the clients?

By the way, i am logged on as local administrator!

Thanks a lot.

Default URGENT: How to run Business Desk Client on Windows Server 2003

Hi James,

the Commerce Server is installed on Windows Server 2000.

But do you mean that BizDesk can not be "installed" and run on Windows 2003?
That would be strange, because we have one system where this is working.

So my question is: How can i run / install Business Desk Client on Windows
Server 2003?

Thanks a lot.

CS2000 or any component of CS2000 was not tested with Windows 2003, and
there fore is not supported. You would need to upgrade to CS2002 SP2 for
full Windows 2003 support.
