Default Copying Multiple Fields in Linked Database

I have a linked database labeled Depo (Master) and Records (Detail).
The link between the two tables is a hard entry for an ID. I have
changed the object pal so that when the user selects the insert button
it will copy the fields that I have assigned variables to the next
record ( this was copied from another form that I know worked but
didn't have a linked database). The databases get confused as to
where the record should be added. Is there anyway to tell object pal
for a button on a form to enter the info into a particular database?
Any help is appreciated!!

Shrevepa,

How are Depo and Records displayed on the form (fields on the page,
MROs, tableframes...)?

I expect you have more than one object with the same name (if so, let
us know). Or the button is in a "place" where it can't "see" the
object whose value you're trying to set. (Let us know where the button
is.)
