Locating specific email inside .mbx

Sounds to me like that is not a message, but a file within the mailbox
folder. You should be able to find it using Windows Explorer.

Incidentally, I don't think a virus in that folder poses any risk to
you unless you execute it, which shouldn't happen since access to it
is via Eudora, not a Windows "Run" command.
