Version 6 Upgrade
Installing any version of Eudora has little to do with your data files.
The install program doesn't really touch those, only the program files. It
is always wise to backup your data files before making changes, but there
shouldn't be a problem. Eudora.ini will end up being adjusted a little to
reflect additional settings in 6.0, but apart from that the rest of your
data files should stay pretty much the same. The toc files change a little
bit to keep track of the junk score but that's not something that has
shown any sign of being a problem.
One thing to note though, if you switch back and forth between 6 and
earlier versions, and you have the junk column showing in your mailboxes,
Eudora can get confused about which column the mailbox is supposed to be
sorted on when you switch between versions. If it does, you just change
the sorting back to what you want.
