Default Finding correct name of user mailbox from AD

We also have experienced this problem. At this point we are looking for
assistance with this. Have you had any luck since your posting? The Href
property which is being set by Outlook is not the user alias(mailnickname)
and they path specified is not valid. We look on the M drive and it doesn't
represent a valid folder name.

MailNickName/Alias = slg

Sample Href

file://./backofficestorage/mydomain.com/MBX/sgordon/Inbox/

Expected href

file://./backofficestorage/cottenschmidt.com/MBX/slg/Inbox/

Hello,

you might want to check out http://www.infinitec.de/link.ashx?id=IT000022.
It's about getting the mailbox URL for a WebDAV query, but the main steps
should be the same.

Greetings,

properties in Active Directory, and uses that to find the users mailbox for
use in a file: URN, as in:

across an Exchange configuration where the users nickname is "freds" but the
mailbox name is "fred.smith". This means that using a URN of

name for use in the file: URN? The method would need to work for Ex2000 and Ex2003.
