Default RETR then DELE?

All,

I am having trouble with some e-mails failing to download. When this
happens I have to break out of my POP3 session, fix it and restart. Because
OE seems to do all the RETR steps before the DELE steps, if mail 75 of 150
(for example) fails, then when I restart, I download e-mails 1-74 _again_
despite them having downloaded fine before.

Is it possible to get OE to do RETR, DELE, RETR, DELE etc so on a restart, I
don't get duplicated?

Thanks,
Paul DS.

Unfortunately you can't change this.

Wouldn't make any difference.

DELE commands to a POP3 server are tentative. They aren't applied until the server gets
the QUIT command from the mail client. If the connection between server and client is
lost before the QUIT command, all DELE commands for that session are undone.

That's the design of the POP3 protocol. In the event of a session failure, the server
assumes that the client crashed and lost all the messages just downloaded.

Thanks. Seems I'll have to sniff packets to see what is happening.
