Default Automatic login changes IE 6 to IE 7

When visiting a secure site with IE 6 and "Automatic logon with current
username and password" selected, the user could navigate from page to page,
or access frames within a page without having to re-enter a username and
password.

Using IE 7, regardless of the above setting, the user must constantly
re-enter the username and password for every page change.

Why would the way this setting functions chage (more to the point: why would
Microsoft change it?), and

Does anybody know a way to work-around this irritating functionality?

Thanks, TedMac

What kind of log in function does this site use and do you have a link?
