Default Cannot disable script debugging!

I'm experiencing the problem described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/224926
-- however I do not have (or ever had) anything called "Visual
InterDev" installed.

What's happening is that every time Internet Explorer (I have both 6
and 7 installed) encounters a scripting error (which is quite often
but that's not Microsoft's fault...) a "Just-In-Time Debugging" dialog
pops up prompting me "Do you want to debug using the selected
debugger?" I can get rid of these messages by killing the mdm.exe
process. However when I re-start Internet Explorer, the process re-
appears.

Any ideas what's going on here?

btw here are (what I believe are) the relevant settings in my
registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Disable Script Debugger"="yes"
"Error Dlg Details Pane Open"="yes"
"Error Dlg Displayed On Every Error"="no"
"NoJITSetup"=dword:00000000
"NoWebJITSetup"=dword:00000001

There must be something I overlooked...
