Default HTA: How to show the Statusbar

I'm looking for a way to show the user wether the HTA is busy (script
running) or not (may be hanging..).

But while a script is running no page is refreshed.
So the statusbar is a candidate to do the job. But it's not visible!

Here's one way to show progress:
<html>
<head>
<title>Progress.hta</title> <HTA:Application ID = "HTA"
ApplicationName = "Progress">
<script type="text/vbscript">
Option ********
Const cHTA = "Progress.hta"
Const cVBS = "Progress.vbs"
Dim booEND
Dim objFSO
Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Dim objCTF
Set objCTF = objFSO.CreateTextFile(cVBS,1)
objCTF.Write "WScript.Sleep 1000"
Set objCTF = Nothing
Set objFSO = Nothing

Sub Progess()
do***ent.getElementById("Progress").style.visibili ty = "visible"
Dim objWSS
Set objWSS = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
booEND = False
Do Until booEND
objWSS.Run cVBS, , True
Loop
Set objWSS = Nothing
do***ent.getElementById("Progress").style.visibili ty = "hidden" End Sub
</script>
</head>
<body>
<center>
<span id="Progress" style="visibility:hidden"> <img src="http://www.itn.net/gif/style/ua/loading.gif" border="0"
width="165" height="15">
</span>
<form>
<input type="button" value="Start" onClick="Progess()">
<input type="button" value="Stop" onClick="booEND=True">
</form>
</body>
</html>
