Default calling perl script on IIS delivers perlscript-content but not interpreteroutput

Hello all,

I call a http://localhost:8888/bin/test.pl
but instead of getting the interpreter output (if I start the perl
script in commandline by typing test.pl I get the interpreter output)
I get the script content. Any hint how I can tell IIS to execute it with
the standard assoc. application?

thanks a lot!

Hi,

On that specific website (the one that runs on 8888) you'll need to add the
application map to the extension .pl

try adding mapping. this is for .exe perl interpreter:
right click on the web site, properties, home directory tab, configuration,
mappings tab.
add .pl and path to your perl thing, and that should help.

perl on iis? did you have to? is there perl isapi or just exe?
you'd get quite better performanse with isapi, if there is any.

thank you guys, works perfect!
actually I still have a problem that IIS return application/octed as
mimetype and this makes problems with other browsers than IE.
The perlscript returns "Content-type: text/html" + 2 new lines but IIS
seems to filter that? I try the mime-map feature but didn't change
anything. Do you have an idea, how I can solve this?

thanks you again
