Sorry chaps if this isn't too relevant to this news group, if you know of a
NG that is more relevant I will gladly go there :-)

I work for a Router manufacturer and I want to try to configure a VPN
between our router and a standalone XP box using certificates. As yet our
unit does not support L2TP. I have no problem at all configuring our unit
but I could do with some advice on the Windows PC. Is there a way of
becoming the CA and signing my own certificate requests using what is
already available in the certificates snap in?

I successfully did this using pre-shared keys for authentication, but I am
struggling to even get off the ground using certificates, so any advice
would be very much welcomed.
