Default 2 CRM Server in 1 Active Directory Environment

Does anyone know for sure if is it possible to install 2 independent CRM
Sales Servers in one single Active Directory?
I have a couple of costumers that share AD infrastructure and both want to
deploy CRM for their companies. The information stored in CRM should be
restricted only to users from the same company.

Can they install 2 CRM Servers? Or might it be a way to "share" one single
CRM Server granting access to users only to data from their own Company?

I appreciate the help!

You can install multiple instances in the same AD environment, but if you want
to use the Email Router for routing inbound email, each install will require
it's own Exchange server. It just can't handle routing inbound email to
multiple installations. Each will also require it's own CRM & SQL servers.

Depending on how similar the implementations are, the 2 could share a common
implementation. The issue with that is the 2 will share common forms, so both
would need to agree on the form designs, which may be difficult. The security
could defintely be setup to isolate the data though assuming each would have
their own BU at the root level. Users will then just be assigned to the
appropriate BU adn noone would get a "Global" security privelige.

Matt, what do you mean by "each install will require it's own Exchange
server"? I thought it was impossible if you have one Exchange organization
and 1 Exchange SMTP server. I asked this question before and you replied
that it was impossible and that the router would only reply to one
implementation.
What I want to do is to install in 1 AD with 1 Exchange org (multiple
mailbox servers) and 1 Exchange SMTP connector several CRM servers (with
different languages). In each country I can install a seperate Exchange
mailbox server if necessary.

Derek,

In the current version of CRM, the router will not work properly for inbound
email in the configuration you have outlined. For inbound email, the router
assumes 1 CRM installation per Exchange server. So, even though you can
install
the router and tell it the names of all 3 CRM servers, it will only route
email
to 1 of them. It will basically try them them 1 at a time until it gets a
response, then it stops. Problem is, the response may be "I don't recognize
this email".

Picture this:
there is 1 Exchange organisation and 1 forest. For each country there is a
seperate domain (3 in total). I have to install in each domain a seperate
CRM server, in every country another language.

Question:
How/how many/where to install the Exchange Router(s).

Derek,

The answer for you is still the same. You can't have a single server with the
CRM Exchange Router that routes to different CRM Servers. You would need a
seperate Exchange SMTP router for each CRM installation and a way to ensure that
all email traffic for those users routes to the correct SMTP gateway.
