Default 2K AD connecting with 2003 server



Hi,
I have a win2K domain and a win 2003 server. When the win2003 server connect
to the win2K domain, my winXP is not able to connect to the domain. The
return is unable to find the domain controller.
Any idea can help?

THe most probable cause is incorrectly configured DNS on your WInXP machine.
Make sure that you are using not ISP's DNS server, but your own internal DNS
server which is able to resolve queries for active directory-related
records.

I am having issues with win2K AD replicating with a
Win2K3 AD. This could also be your problem. I don't have
a solution yet except to just stay with Win2K for a while
until they resolve the issue in a service pack.

Can you throw in more details about the problems you have? It must be
something in your configuration which causes replication to fail - W2k works
with W2k3 just fine.
